Wilshire/La Cienega Station

Closures continue on Wilshire Boulevard.

The following closures* are scheduled to take place during the upcoming week:

  • North Gale will be closed from 7 am to 4 pm on weekdays, and 8 am to 7 pm on Saturdays.

Wilshire/Rodeo Station

Demolition in progress at former Ace Gallery building.

Demolition and abatement activities are underway. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.* Hauling and heavy demolition activity can only take place between 9 am and 4 pm.* The demolition is 75% complete.

A portion of the park at 125 S. Reeves is closed temporarily, and access to the playground is restricted.

Fault line investigations taking place on Wilshire.

Drilling and sampling work to assess the soil and geological makeup of the tunnel route is currently in progress. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8 pm to 6 am.* During work hours, eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to one lane between Linden Drive and McCarty Drive. All three lanes on westbound Wilshire will be maintained.

Demolition work at Wilshire & N. Canon expected to begin in early 2019.

The Beverly Hills City Council authorized the issuance of a permit for demolition of buildings at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and N. Canon Drive (9383-9393 and 9395-9399 Wilshire). In addition to the demolition work, sound walls will be installed and sewer and water utilities will need to be relocated. Once the demolition is complete, the site will be used for staging and construction of the Metro Purple Line Extension. This work is anticipated to start in early 2019.*

Holiday moratorium begins Thursday.

Beginning Thursday, November 22, construction work will pause outside of staging areas and on public rights-of-way west of Rexford Drive, east of Santa Monica Boulevard, and north of Charleville Boulevard. This work will begin again January 2.

*Due to the dynamic nature of construction, all proposed dates and times are subject to change.
