Pickleball Pilot Program:

Where:  Beverly Hills Tennis Center at La Cienega Park and Roxbury Park Tennis Courts

When:  Open Play Hours:  

  • Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays:  11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Sundays:  9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Court Reservation are for 50 Minutes of Play
  • All ages welcomed.  
    • Children under 13 years must reserve a court and parent and/or caregiver must be present.
    • 13 years old + may reserve courts at Beverly Hills Tennis Center and Roxbury Park Tennis Courts or participate in drop-in play at Beverly Hills Tennis Center.

Pickleball group

  • Reservations for residents can be made 1 week in advance.
  • Reservations for non-residents can be made 4 days in advance.

Rates Per Hour: 

  • Weekdays: $8 Residents/$11 Non-residents
  • Evenings & Sundays:  $9 Residents/$12 Non-residents

Drop-in Play at La Cienega (only):

  • Drop-in Play are on courts #5 thru #8
  • Two levels - Beginner & Advance
  • Fee: $4 Residents/ $5 Non-Residents
  • Pay/reserve at time of play
  • Exact change required
  • No online reservation
  • Paddle and ball rental offered through Beverly Hills Tennis Center for a fee.
  • Paddle and ball rental at Roxbury Park is free, however, equipment must be returned or a replacement fee will be charged.

  • Types of Play
    • Beverly Hills Tennis Center
      • 2 courts for lessons by Beverly Hills Pickleball professionals.
      • 2 courts for reserved court play.
        • Fee charged per court.
      • 4 courts for drop-in play.
        • Fee charged per player.
          • Players play the best of 3 games.
          • Winners rotate out after 2 full games.
    • Roxbury Park Tennis Courts
      • 1 court for lessons by Beverly Hills Pickleball professionals.
      • 1 court for reserved court play.


Pickleball Rules of Play:

  • Serves are made underhand, with paddle below the waistline and no bounce.
  • Balls are served diagonally, to the opponent's service court, alternating from the right to the left.
  • Serves must be done underhand with the paddle below waist line and no bounce.
  • Serve must clear 7 feet and serving side will continue to serve until there is a fault.
  • Points are scored by the side that serves.
  • Volleying the ball is allowed after the first 2 bounces (one from each team) and done only behind non-volley line.
  • First team to reach 11 points wins that game, winning by 2 or more points per game.
